Nobo House is shrinking on purpose. Leads should sleep. Campers should know their work before the burn. The center of camp should point toward rest. Less sprawl. More shade. More water. Fewer vague jobs. A house we want to come back to.
In 2026, we are choosing Dusty Donkeys, not Sparkle Ponies. We need people who cook, carry, fix, ask, listen, and stay for strike. Leads should treat the role as a calling, not a discount.
The camp will shrink by 20-25 percent. We will cap first-timers at 35 percent. Water, Kitchen, Power, and Design get first priority, because those teams decide whether camp works when the dust gets hard.
The structure stays plain: co-organizers, a chief of staff, team leads, pod captains, and campers who know where they fit. Recruiting, onboarding, dues, build, strike, water, power, kitchen, inventory, and comms all need named owners before the truck leaves Reno.
We will publish build hours, playa shifts, strike hours, and cost-share ratios at least 2 months before the burn. No one should arrive guessing what they owe the house.
The center of camp will carry more weight. Chill space, steam, sauna, gym, kitchen, and shade should sit close enough to use, clean, repair, and defend from wind and water.
